Frequently Asked Questions

What is a life coach?

A life coach is a  professional who is focused on helping their client’s find positive solutions to the challenges they are currently facing.  Life Coaches also work with clients to help them reach goals, and make positive changes so they can live the life of their dreams.

Life Coaches are generally goal oriented with a focus on client improvement through empowerment and practical life skill building.

What type of client would benefit most from a life coach?

Clients who are self-motivated, eager to make their desired life changes happen, and those who are willing to do the work that is required to make life-lasting change take shape would benefit most from working with a life coach.

When should I see a life coach?

There are generally two situations in life when Life Coaches are most beneficial.  The first is when you recognize that there are specific areas of your life where you would benefit from some guided help and support.  The second is when you have a calling or desire to reach a specific goal, but may feel a little lost or uncertain on how to make this goal a living reality.  If you find yourself or a loved one in either of these situations, you or your loved one may want to consider teaming up with a Life Coach.

Remember, life requires a wide variety of skill sets, along with honest self-reflection.  It also takes certain skills and a solid foundation to answer the calling of your dreams.  No one has all of these skill sets or answers at the ready all of the time.  Life Coaches provide the tools and resources you need to increase your personal life skill sets so you can reach your goals, and find positive solutions to your current challenges in order to live a happier, healthier life.

What is the difference between a life coach and a counselor?

A counselor is a licensed mental health professional who is able to make a diagnosis on a client’s mental health.  The counselor considers the characteristics of the diagnosis and often works with the client to heal and remove the negative effects of the diagnosis’s characteristics.  Counselor’s are also able to accept insurance.

A Life Coach is NOT a licensed mental health counselor, and CAN NOT make a diagnosis on a client’s mental health.  Life Coaches work with the client to bring forward specific goals.  Life Coaches seek to help their client find positive solutions to their current life challenges.  Life Coaches most often work within the present tense of a client’s life, and Life Coaches CAN NOT accept insurance.

As your Life Coach at Endless Possibilities Life Coaching Services, will I work with licensed mental health professionals?

I am very committed to the betterment of my clients.  If I feel that my client’s needs require more professional services, such as a licensed mental health counselor, I will make the recommendation to that client and stop our coaching sessions until a time when their mental health issues have been properly addressed.

In certain circumstances, I may work with a client who is also under the care of a licensed mental health counselor.  I am also willing to coordinate my services with any licensed mental health professional for the benefit of my client.
